NDIAGA AND THE SUMBARY BAND

Artist's Quote:I was born a Griot and I started to learn the traditional rhythms of my country. called Sabar Wolof, when I was very young growing up in Yoff - Dakar in Senegal. I learnt many of these rhythms from my uncle Malik Gor Mbaye, a traditional Griot, who in his youth had learnt the same rhythms from my grandfather, Alassane Mbaye, who was also a traditional Griot and musician.
