RESTORING OUTLOOK 2000 DATA WHEN YOU UPGRADE TO WINDOWS XP
1. Go to MY Computer
2. Select TOOLS
3. Select FOLDER OPTIONS
4. Select VIEW tab
5. In ADVANCE SETTINGS window, scroll down to HIDDEN
FOLDERS AND FILES
6. Be sure SHOW HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS is selected
and that the following are deselected:
HIDE FILE EXTENSION...
HIDE PROTECTED...
7. Then search for *.pst - should find outlook.pst or
outlooksomenumber.pst, but could be under a different name.
8. Once found, go to Outlook and FILE IMPORT the .pst
file.
9. Run NORTON VIRUS scan on the drive immediately after
importing the file
